McAfee offers cloud security platform in or out of the cloud

McAfee is touting its new cloud-based security platform. Included in the new product is the ability to secure data between a business and information stored in the cloud, according to a report from ITwire.com.

The products that are available include:


  • Web security
  • Mobile security
  • Cloud access control
  • Email security
  • Web services security

Two modes can be used to protect workers from the business site, or to workers located at another site elsewhere. These products can be managed leveraging McAfee’s tools, ePolicy Orchestrator or the SaaS Control Console.

Exostar expanded its Managed Access Gateway identity management service offering to accept one-time password hardware tokens.

The gateway uses the Exostar-issued hardware tokens, as well as other forms of credentials such as basic level of assurance and medium level of assurance public-key infrastructure certificates and Common Access Cards, to control access to Exostar and other service provider applications connected to the Exostar Identity Hub.

Turkish mobile operator Turkcell has combined its NFC mobile payments service, Cep-T Cüzdan, with its location-based services (LBS) mobile coupon platform.

According to Turkcell, the newly integrated LBS system enables credit card users who add their Akbank Axess cards to Cep-T Cüzdan to receive tailored, on-the-go promotions, as well as surprise offers based on their current location.
