Vormetric announced that it has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). The CSA is a non-profit that seeks to develop a set of best practices and strict security protocols for cloud computing.

Security is the number one issue with cloud computing, and as enterprises transition their applications to the Web, the CSA hopes to help by educating its members on how to keep their data safe.

SafeNet acquires Cryptocard

SafeNet announced that it has acquired Cryptocard, a privately held provider of cloud based authentication solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With the acquisition of Cryptocard, SafeNet adds to its authentication portfolio. Cryptocard’s platform will provide an opportunity for mobile and telecom service providers, as well as IT system integrators and service providers, to introduce Auth-as-a-Service to their end users.

Radiant Logic, RSA sign agreement for cloud services

Identity virtualization company Radiant Logic and RSA have signed an agreement in which the Radiant Logic VDS+ identity virtualization engine will be offered as part of the RSA Identity and Access Management product line.

LexisNexis adds interactive voice technology for identity proofing

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has added interactive voice response technology (IVR) from Angel, a provider of cloud-based customer engagement management products, for its LexisNexis IVR on Demand for Identity Proofing and Voice Biometrics product.

BioID introduces authentication for the Intel cloud

Nevada-based multimodal biometric authentication provider BioID has announced that its webcam-based biometric recognition product can now be used for authentication to Intel’s Cloud SSO and McAfee’s Cloud Identity Manager products.
