Monday, September 12, 2011

Symantec has created the Symantec Certificate Intelligence Center, a cloud-based service for SSL certificate management and control.

Geared toward enterprises with large numbers of certificates, the center is designed to help companies proactively manage certificates from any Certificate Authority in order to reduce workload on IT staffs. It functions as a central repository and automated scanning service that provides certificate discovery across diverse networks.

Other features of the center include expiration alerts, as well as centralized and automated SSL accounting. Symantec also plans to add automatic SSL renewal and installation on several enterprise applications.
